When I decided to become a professional photographer, I found my creativity growing from a part of myself that existed from childhood. A little girl who loved fairytales and sunshine, strawberry shortcake and unicorns. (oh and the 80s) With every session, I do bring a little bit of that girl with me. Whether it be with high school seniors, families or weddings theres a little part of me that is looking at your story through the lens of my imagination. Not all of my sessions are a fairytale theme like this one, BUT those eyes who believes in them is the one ALWAYS behind the lens. Its really a neat thing to be able to be a whole person in all that I do. Amanda’s one of our Class of 2018 Dream2BE Senior Ambassador’s session was a 2 part. As usual, I’m starting backwards in my posting. I’m never one to do things completely in order or see things neatly in a box. So this is set 2. I wasn’t quite sure where I was going to bring her that day, but I had the dress and an idea. There was this little spot off the side of the road near my home that I knew would be perfect. I think it turned out just as I believe it would! We got a little wet and dirty … but thats all part of art right?
I’m just grateful to this beautiful soul for always being optimistic and open to doing whatever I imagined. Amanda’s light shines in all of her images not because of me… but because of all who SHE is.
